A 13-year-old breaking the mold.
The first driver on the autism spectrum in Polish competitive karting.
EMIL KOWALSKI

Visor down, the world fades away
Off the track, the world can sometimes simply be too loud for Emil. Everything changes the moment he puts on his helmet. He switches into racing mode and tunes out the chaos. On the track, the autism spectrum is no longer a barrier—it becomes his strength. Emil doesn't let emotions get in the way; he just does his thing and calmly shaves off fractions of a second.
There is no longer any room for weekend joyrides here. Emil has stepped into competitive karting and approaches it like a true pro. His development and preparation are in the hands of the professional Racing Future Academy team, where he is learning the craft from coaches led by Marcin Budkowski—an engineer and F1 team boss!
Emil has already made his tough debut in the Polish Karting Championship. He is doing his work step by step, and his goal is clear: getting into a Formula 4 car.
Competitive motorsport, step by step

Autism is no limit to passion
This sport demands a lot of hard work and sacrifice from Emil. But his attitude on the track proves that the diagnosis isn't the end of the world. With every race, he shows that having autism doesn't stop you from pursuing the toughest passions and facing challenges head-on. Instead of hiding the spectrum, he turned it into his greatest strength.
