For a thirteen-year-old on the autism spectrum, an ordinary day full of noise and chaos can be a massive challenge. Sometimes the world is just too overwhelming for him. But for Emil, everything changes in a split second the moment he puts his helmet on. The go-kart is his zone of absolute calm.
When he drives out onto the track, he can completely tune out his surroundings, nerves, and anxiety. He enters his own racing mode. He only sees the optimal racing line, has a perfect feel for the machine, and precisely calculates his speed. The rest of the world stops mattering in that moment. It's just the sport.
Meet Emil
Autumn 2025: Just regular driving at indoor karting tracks. That's where we got the first signs that Emil has an outstanding feel for traction and great steering control.
November 2025: First tests in a competitive go-kart. Time to make some serious decisions. Playtime is over, we are stepping into professional sports.
Winter 2026: Hard training in Spain with Racing Future Academy. Emil drives on the track in Valencia, right after F1 driver Carlos Sainz was turning laps on it.
May 2026: Trial by fire at the Polish Karting Championship. Pouring rain, chaos on the track, and right in the middle of it all is Emil, keeping a cool head and crossing the finish line with a steady, consistent pace.

Let's get straight to the point!
See how fast we shifted gears:
Emil didn't hop into a competitive go-kart overnight. He has been fascinated by motorsport since he was a little kid, but it took him a while to mature into it. The first diagnoses of the autism spectrum appeared when he was just 3 years old. Since then, the grueling work began to slowly expand his comfort zone. It was a step-by-step process of overcoming fears and getting used to new stimuli.
These were years of hard work by Emil himself. Taking small steps, he opened up to the world, until he finally opened up to karting and got completely hooked on it in the best, racing sense of the word.
We still have plenty of challenges ahead. Emil still needs the support of those around him, but he equally needs racing to break down more of his internal barriers. Today, as an official beneficiary of the Avalon Foundation (through which we run a fully transparent sub-account), Emil's attitude on the track proves one thing to other families: you can't give up! The diagnosis is not the end of the world. It's the beginning of a different path, where you can still pursue incredible passions and do things that seem impossible.
A long road to passion and our mission
